I have definitely have learned that Tanzanians love their bananas (ndizi). Up north I saw thousands upon thousands of trees full of this fruit that also serves as a starchy staple for many people. Thought I would share a few pictures of 1. a very full banana stalk, 2. a farmer, 3. the market where they get sold, 4. a tiny fraction of the bananas piling up to be transported across the country.

I wonder if Tanzanians would like the pork chops with a spicy banana sauce dish I had in Samana, Dominican Republic on Monday...twas SO delicious and I must say very unique!
