This was our lucky day to visit two of South Africa’s Cradle of Mankind “bucket list” locations. (http://www.mybucket.co.za/#) Apparently the dairy farm wasn’t enough to satiate our cheese-loving crew, so Dad and the kids set out to get a thorough understanding with a tour at a cheese factory, pleasantly completed with a tasting of several varieties, so we could really "savor our blue-cheese breath" (bucket list stop #8). As Dad went back to finish work, the kids went on to explore the Sterkfontein Caves, in one of the richest sites for prehistoric fossils. We had a great time getting to know our hominid ancestors, and "coming face to face with the Stone Age" (bucket list stop #6).
